• Supima and MicroModal Fashion Slubs: This ring spun, 100 percent extra long staple cotton yarn for the fashion T-shirt market is getting a lot of buzz now because of its feel and look.
• Supima Royal: Buhler has combined the advantages of single and plied yarns in a single product for yarn evenness, strength, low hairiness, and a soft and gentle hand. It allows for a plied yarn performance but with a better hand and more economic price. Markets include high-end apparel, luxury intimate apparel, bed linen and other home furnishings, and hosiery products.
• TransDRY: Developed by Cotton Incorporated, this high-performance moisture management application allows 100 percent Supima cotton fabrics to transfer moisture away from the skin or across the surface of the fabric and dry faster. It’s targeted to the performance apparel market. TransDRY technology for cotton goes beyond simple absorption of moisture by moving it away from the body to the outside of the fabric and spreading it over a wider surface area where it can dry faster.
• Supima Outlast Viscose: Buhler blends Outlast Viscose with Supima cotton to produce a very comfortable soft fabric with thermal management. The target market is performance apparel, but Outlast has also been a hit in the sleepwear market for menopausal women.
