President Bill Cllinton visits CODEVI

President Bill Clinton visited CODEVI, located in the northern border town city of Ounaminthe, Haiti for the first time last Wednesday (1/11/12). During his tour of the park, President Clinton was accompanied by Fernando Capellán, president de Grupo M y CODEVI as well as representatives of the footwear company Timberland which is operating in Codevi.
The President saw first-hand the different manufacturing processes that are installed in the industrial park where over 6,500 Haitian nationals are employed and economically impacting the whole north border region or as it has become known “north corridor.”
President Clinton was very satisfied to learn of the great potential in private investment, where continued growth intentions to employ up to 15,000 Haitians are imminent.
