Toray Ultrasuede (America) will merge its operations with Toray International America Inc. (TIAM)

Effective April 1, 2010, Toray Ultrasuede (America) Inc. (TUA) will merge its operations into those of Toray International America Inc. (TIAM), the official corporate entity of Toray Industries, Inc. (Toray) in the United States.

TUA will become the “Ultrasuede Department” of Toray International America Inc. This structural change has no effect on the Ultrasuede® business and brand as it will continue operating its various interests in the automotive, fashion and accessories, furniture, display and industrial markets.

TIAM is responsible for the marketing and sales of Toray Group products in the Americas as well as all Toray Group value added vanguard materials.

Toray decided on the new corporate structure in order to complete the business and marketing alignment of all Toray products in the United States. The new structure allows Ultrasuede® to become an integral part of the Toray Group companies and to benefit from the synergies with and the strength of the Toray corporate brand. TIAM will capitalize on both product and customer synergies from this integration.
